Allie is a recent graduate of Villanova University whose style is still in transition now that she is no longer in school.
Since her day to day style is a casual look that consists of lots of layers and cardigans, scarves, and comfy sweaters are staples for her, we thought she was the perfect candidate for a makeover at Piper Boutique.
Piper Boutique specializes in trendy, fashion forward apparel and to take one step in their store is to immerse yourself in the seasons latest trends. If your wardrobe ever starts to feel outdated, trust us, Piper Boutique is the place to go.
We collaborated with Piper Boutique to help update Allie’s style from college casual to young adult chic.

Allie started her day in a Villanova tee and some jeans, a look we noticed many students in University City rocking.
Her first look paired the colored denim trend with a bold pattern top.
[Black and white chevron blouse $53.50, Bb Dakota turquoise pants $88, and Dolce vita loafers $72]
The second look Allie tried on gave the girly peplum trend some edge that gave off a downtown feel that we absolutely loved.
[Cream beaded peplum top $60, Bb Dakota black leather detail pants $130]
The third look mixed lace and color for another bold yet feminine look. Tuck this blouse into a skirt or under a suit and you’ve got a great work outfit.
[Yellow top with black lace detail $61.50]
The third look takes the cutout trend and the embellished collar trend and gives you a shirt that could be worn on the weekend or for nights out. Oh, and studded crossbody anyone?
[Blue cold shoulder top $61.50, Blake studded cross body $84]
We absolutely love this dress. You could easily dress it down or up but if you’re looking for something comfortable and still very cute, look no further.
[Coral lace detail dress $61, House of harlow necklaces $62 to $72]
This was one of those items Allie said she would never have picked out on her own but we think the dress looks good! Notice also the spiked necklace she has on.
[Black mixed media dress $66]
Piper Boutique was full of cute printed blouses like this one. They are a great way to get easy style and they can be dressed up or down.
[Black and cream chevron blouse $60]
We love this sweater blouse combination for modish casual style. Don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns and colors!
[Burgundy double cross blouse $49, Cream and black tribal cardigan $57, Mixed media leggings $38]
We loved the idea of this blouse paired with a pencil skirt for a dinner out or worn with leggings for a night out.
[Cream button up $57, Mixed media leggings $38]
When it was all over, we asked Allie about her makeover experience at Piper Boutique and this is what she told us:
Which outfit was your favorite? I loved the white peplum top with the leggings.
What did you think of Piper Boutique? Piper Boutique was so cute! I loved all of the statement pieces that they had, especially the jewelry and bags. And the set up of the store was really cute and not too overwhelming (love the chandelier).
How would you describe your makeover experience? It was so much fun! I got to see how different clothing styles and materials look on me
