This time of the year makes me extremely thankful for everything that I have. You probably couldn’t tell this from my blog posts, which have been infused with luxury goods suggestions. The truth is, I am very grateful for having the smaller inexpensive products that make my life easier and I am thrilled about having easy new trends to try. Trends so unique that I feel tickled just to have them in my life. I figured that having these mystery items at my disposal and not sharing them would be very selfish of me. So, here are a few things that I simply adore.
Sock it to the heels
Did you know that socks and heels were red hot this season? In my opinion, not enough women are trying this out, so I hope to inspire and perpetuate this trend. Need an excuse to cut up your Wolford stockings? Have a run or a pull and don’t
want to part with your favorite print? Go ahead, cut your stockings or tights into socks that you can wear over bare feet or over another pair of tights. The layered look is so fabulous and modern and is perfect with open toes shoes.
My tip to pull off this look is to keep the shoes and socks in the same color family. If done correctly, this combination should look like a chic bootie—just be sure to keep the sock thin and let it hit a couple of inches above your ankle.
Sublime Glow
Everyone craves that perfect summer glow. The question is, how do we keep that natural looking tan from the summer all year-round? I can’t think of a single person other than Anne Hathaway who can pull off milky white skin without looking pasty. The rest of us simply look better with a little color. But tanning is no friend to the aging process. So what is a girl to do? I say, get your hands on the Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer made by L’Oreal. With so many brands offering tinting products, I found that this light-weight moisturizer truly evens out your skin without making you look jaundice. And it smells delicious.
Over the shoulder boulder holder
Sexiness and support are no longer mutually exclusive options. At least not when it comes to the world’s best strapless bra. A few years ago, I went on a mission to find the perfect strapless bra. I wanted something that would not slide down, look bulky, or stretch over time. Impossible you say? Well, my sister recommended the Galligan & Omalley Convertible Plunge Bra from Target of all places. I was skeptical but being always open to word-of-mouth recommendations, I tried it for myself. For anyone out there who thinks that strapless bras are incapable of giving you cleavage, boy are you in for a surprise. Have I mentioned that this bra is only $14.99?
Let’s paint the town Honeysuckle
The verdict is in and honeysuckle is officially the color for 2011. Time to go shopping. But where does one start? I say, start with flirty panties. My favorite are Victoria’s Secret Lacie Thong. Their selection of bright vibrant colors would make any girl happy getting ready in the morning. For those of you who normally avoid pink like the black plague, this may be one way to unleash the Fashionista in you this year.
Shine to my hair! Anyone not familiar with milk_shake hair products needs to know about this brand. I have been a fan for a long time, but I recently learned about their glistening argan oil. You apply a generous amount to wet hair before a blow dry. Obviously, I cannot explain how amazing it smells, but I can say that your hair will be shinier than ever. For all of the skeptics out there, NO, this will not make your hair even a little bit greasy. It will nourish your hair into a “shine oblivion.”
This should do it for this week, but there are many more of my favorites to come. Oh, and for the men reading this, I do apologize for the detailed bra description. Just think of how knowledgeable you’ll sound to the women in your life.
Happy shopping ladies.

Please, post some pictures of the socks you create and how you end up wearing them. As far as the milk_shake products, I bought mine at Salon Blue in Huntingdon Valley, but they have them online. You will love it!

Biana,
Will you be my personal shopper and fashion guru? I need help! In general! I have these adorable pink stockings that I bought for a halloween costume, I could never see myself actually strutting in the youthful tights but I think as your advised socks perhaps? Site is A-MA-ZING.
Monique,
Thank you. I actually would love to see the tights. I would totally cut them and wear them as socks. They sound really cute. Thank you for the compliment. Let me know when you want to go shopping
